forcing permanence on the transitory onslaught
of broken winged moths of enemy time
loving them breathless
you turn in your catacomb womb of eternal
questioning

your quiet kind of madness
your maniacal lazing about
the bottomless sea of the careless ones
swimming in hormone injected black nutrition

to feed the sickening cavity
and cycle back the atomic world
into minute masks of myriad fear
in your mountains of flesh heavy doubt

and here i lay willing to take them
by promise of unending devotion
never to leave my most Sylvia
stifle my oilier days
with your own soft sickness
holding each other in purgatory
exchanging reasons to stay there

until the day you blew away
little ash mound
and i found strength to tear
the other half of me from this barber's chair
float liquid and hair
betraying you maddeningly - regretfully
