i was remembering late last night what it felt like to be insane. the ghosts of old men that would hang off the bumpers of cars in front of me and glower. how i could fall asleep mid conversation...just lay on the floor in my towel and close my eyes and make it all stop. the way my hands would shake how i lost my sense of taste and touch how i lost my sense of compassion. turning into stone.

i knew it had to be stopped when i began to hear everything anyone was going to say a full second before it was spoken.
