today - i can feel myself pushing off from my desk and drifting ... out to sea through the walls past the highway construction beyond the billboards squeeze between stick dry mountains and float by slate grey alien salt lake into silver fog and minute alpine life spreading forth purple iris on a sea of gold and the rusted out ship in the forest quiet trees looking on unassuming -

why am i still here -
