i can't claim the same bond with my son--his entry was not as difficult and i was less involved (being a father has its drawbacks, though some might say benefits)--but i thoroughly understand the surprise and dread aspects of your story. though things have worked out wonderfully, eleven years ago i was taking finals my first semester in college and his mother was dragging her books around her sophomore year in high school. 19 and 15 are awkward ages to have a baby. i wish you the best of luck with yours. given your travails from the outset, i am sure you will cherish this new life.
